Elena Dagrada

Elena Dagrada is a Full Professor at the Department of Arts (DAR) of the University of Bologna. She previously held academic positions at the Université de Bordeaux 3, University of Milan, and specialized institutions like the Scuola Nazionale di Cinema and Scuola del Documentario. Her research focuses on early cinema, point-of-view shots, and the works of filmmakers like Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman. Notable publications include Between the Eye and the World: The Birth of the Point-of-View Shot and Le varianti transparenti, which received prestigious awards.

She has served as President of the Italian Association for Cinema History (AIRSC) and was part of the Executive Committee of DOMITOR (International Association for Early Cinema Research).
