Elena Camerin Young is an Adjunct Professor at Naropa University, teaching voice and music courses such as Solo Singing in Style and Music Cultures of the World. She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and contributes to online academic programs.

With a focus on jazz, gospel, and interdisciplinary music education, Elena has performed internationally, including at the Venice Biennale (2003) as a "living installation" for Tino Sehgal. She specializes in teaching vocal techniques, ensemble music, and mentoring students with special needs.
Her career spans decades, including collaborations with renowned artists like Carla Marcotulli, Sheila Jordan, and Mark Murphy. In Boulder, she founded the Nalanda Ensemble, curates the monthly improvisation series "OH SNAP!", and serves on the board of Creative Music Works.
