Eleanor Schwarz

Eleanor Schwarz, MD, MS, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, specializing in general internal medicine and health services research. Her work focuses on health equity, particularly in women’s health and reproductive medicine, aiming to address disparities in healthcare access and outcomes. She has held leadership roles, including Medical Consultant for California’s Office of Family Planning and Senior Medical Expert in Reproductive Health at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Schwarz has authored over 190 peer-reviewed publications and led numerous grants funded by agencies like PCORI and AHRQ.
