Eleanor L. Stevenson, PhD, RN is an Associate Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing, where she has taught since August 2011. She is affiliated with the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and instructs courses such as Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family and Nursing Specialty Synthesis. Her clinical background spans high-risk labor and delivery, mother-baby care, and infertility services.
- Education: PhD in Nursing Research and Theory Development (New York University College of Nursing), M.S. in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (Rutgers University College of Nursing-Newark), B.S. in Nursing (Rutgers University College of Nursing-New Brunswick)
Her research focuses on multidimensional psychological stress in women with IVF-conceived pregnancies and its impact on adverse birth outcomes like preterm birth. She previously worked as a full-time Clinical Nurse Educator at Duke University School of Nursing, mentoring students in maternity and specialty synthesis clinical settings.
