Eleanor Dickey is a Professor of Classics at the University of Reading. She has held academic positions at Columbia University, the University of Exeter, and the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on Greek and Latin linguistics, classical literature, and ancient language use, with a particular emphasis on papyrology and historical pragmatics. She holds a D.Phil. in Literae Humaniores from the University of Oxford and has held fellowships at institutions including the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and All Souls College, Oxford.
