Eleanor D'Aponte is a Professor in the School of Architecture + Art at Norwich University, where she has taught graduate and undergraduate design studios, seminars, and lecture courses for over two decades. She played a pivotal role in guiding the architecture program through its 2010 NAAB accreditation and contributed to curricular strengths in ethics, cultural diversity, and the first-year experience. Her teaching is informed by professional practice at award-winning firms in New York City.
Research Interests: D'Aponte focuses on biophilic design, sustainable construction techniques like fabric-formed concrete, and the intersection of ethics and cultural diversity in architectural education. Her current work explores innovative applications of fabric-formed concrete for interior wall panels.
