Elana Resnick

Elana Resnick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She directs the Infrastructural Inequalities Research Group Lab and specializes in environmental politics, waste management, and racialization, with regional focus on Bulgaria and the European Union.

Education:

Research Interests: Her work explores intersections of material waste systems, racialization processes, and infrastructural inequalities, particularly through the lens of the Romani diaspora in Europe. She also investigates nuclear energy, labor dynamics, and humor as a socio-political tool.
