Elaine Whitton is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of York, joining in 2021. Her career spans roles at the Universities of Hull, Nottingham, Leeds, and Sheffield, with a PhD in 2009 focusing on learning disability nurses' contributions to care partnerships.

Elaine’s research emphasizes health inequalities, learning disability nursing, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
