Elaine M. Egan is an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University’s College of Applied Social Science within the School of Information Studies (SOIS). With 30 years of experience in international large law firms, she specializes in knowledge management, leadership, and strategic partnerships, emphasizing content value and user advocacy.

Her research focuses broadly on Information Science, with specific interests in Knowledge Management, Project Management, and Leadership. She explores methods to enhance content value, implement effective knowledge-sharing solutions, and build strategic partnerships in professional settings.
Elaine is actively involved in professional organizations, including serving as Chair of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Private Law Librarians and the AALL Body of Knowledge Task Force. She has held leadership roles such as President of the Law Library Association of Greater New York (LLAGNY) and membership on the Wolters Kluwer Insight Council and Thompson Reuters West Advisory Board. Currently, she chairs the AALL State of the Profession report and contributes to the Practice Innovation Editorial Board.
