Dr. Eirini Theodosiou is Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Aston University, developing separation technologies for biotherapeutics and edible scaffolds for cellular agriculture. Her research bridges bioprocessing engineering with sustainable food production.
Current projects focus on 3D-printed edible scaffolds for cultivated meat and magnetic separation systems for cell therapy manufacturing. She coordinates UK networks in cellular agriculture and leads EPSRC-funded projects on antimicrobial biomaterials.
Theodosiou earned her PhD in Biotechnology (DTU) after MSc in Biochemical Engineering (UCL) and MEng in Chemical Engineering (NTUA). She chairs modules on downstream bioprocessing and serves on editorial boards for biotechnology journals.
