Eira Lynn Jones is a Lever Harp and Pedal Harp Tutor at the School of Languages, Arts and Societies, University of Sheffield. She maintains an active freelance career as a harpist with leading UK orchestras including the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, and Opera North. Jones simultaneously serves as Head of Harp at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), where she directs pedagogical initiatives and international workshops.
Education: Jones holds a Master's Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and trained at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Research Focus: Her interdisciplinary interests span classical and folk harp performance, innovative pedagogy, chamber music collaboration, and the research/preservation of unconventional harp repertoire. She explores intersections between technical mastery and expressive artistry across musical traditions.

Educational Leadership: Jones leads the RNCM Young Harps Project and conducts global workshops across 6+ countries. She mentors emerging harpists through performance training and repertoire development.
