Eileen Purnama

Eileen Purnama serves as an Academic staff member for monument preservation in the Art History and Aesthetics department at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart since 2025. Concurrently, she works as a Construction researcher at strebewerk Architekten GmbH (Stuttgart) since 2023 and as a freelance mediator in building research, architecture, art, and historical craft techniques since 2021.

Her educational foundation includes Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Art History, Architectural History, and Theory and History of Architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2015–2023), preceded by a Federal Voluntary Service at the State Office for Monument Preservation Baden-Württemberg (2014–2015).

Her research centers on the interdisciplinary nexus of monument preservation, building research, and historical craft techniques, with strong emphasis on architectural and art historical contexts. This expertise is applied through both academic roles at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and professional engagements in architectural conservation.

During 2017–2021, she contributed to academic instruction as a student assistant and tutor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, supporting pedagogy in art and architectural history disciplines.
