Eileen Doherty-Sil is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science and Faculty Director of the Core & Africa General Program at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies, University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the leadership team for interdisciplinary curricular development supporting the joint MBA-MA program in International Studies. Previously, she was Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Political Science Department at UPenn and held roles in executive education at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
Her research focuses on international human rights law, particularly business and human rights within global governance frameworks. Her current book project examines the governance of business-related human rights issues. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from UC Berkeley, where she was an IGCC Ford Foundation Fellow in Multilateral Cooperation.
Dr. Doherty-Sil has received multiple teaching awards and has taught courses including Conflict & Cooperation in the Global Arena and Theory & Practice of Collective Action. She actively contributes to academic and professional networks through her roles at the Lauder Institute and Penn.
