معرفی
Eike Kiltz is a Professor at Ruhr University Bochum and a Max Planck Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Security (MPI-SP), appointed in January 2025. His primary affiliation is the Chair of Cryptography at Ruhr University Bochum.
He focuses on foundational cryptographic research with practical applications, particularly in public-key cryptography and post-quantum security. His work addresses the threat of quantum computers to current encryption methods, contributing to NIST’s standardization efforts for quantum-resistant schemes.
Key achievements include the 2024 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize for pioneering contributions to cryptography. He collaborates with MPI-SP’s Peter Schwabe to develop post-quantum cryptographic protocols, supported by the Max Planck Fellowship, which allows him to establish a research group at MPI-SP for five years.
Research emphasizes bridging theoretical advancements with real-world implementations, addressing both academic and industrial security challenges.
