Ehsan Yarshater

The 10th Ehsan and Latifeh Yarshater Iranian Studies Conference, held in November 2022, honors Ehsan Yarshater as a linguist and founder of the Encyclopaedia Iranica. Organized by the Center for Research on the Iranian World (CeRMI) in collaboration with the Persian Heritage Foundation (USA), the conference series—established in 2001—highlights themes such as Achaemenid and Sassanid universality, discursive strategies in royal inscriptions, and religious organization across empires. Ehsan’s work, particularly in Iranian linguistic and historical scholarship, continues to influence academic discourse in these fields.
