Ehsan Madadi

Dr. Ehsan Madadi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), joining in Fall 2020. His research focuses on developing and validating computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools for multiphase and turbulent flows, with applications in environmental fluid modeling and complex physical processes such as turbulent mixing and reacting flows.

Prior to CSULB, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Texas at Austin from 2017 to 2020, collaborating with the Center for Water and the Environment and institutions like the United States Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy on nationally funded projects. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2017, specializing in quadrature-based models for multiphase and turbulent reacting flows.

His work emphasizes the creation of computational algorithms that enhance modeling accuracy for fluid flow and transport phenomena. He is affiliated with the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) program at CSULB, where he contributes to research, teaching, and academic initiatives.
