Efstratios Delogkos

Efstratios Delogkos is a PhD Candidate at the School of Earth Sciences, University College Dublin. His research focuses on 3D fault zone architecture and extensional tectonics in the Kardia lignite mine, Ptolemais Basin, NW Greece.

His work examines seismic-scale normal fault zones at outcrop resolution, exploring fault linkage, strain distribution, and bed-parallel slip surfaces. The research highlights the role of fault segment linkage in fault zone evolution and the interaction between faulting and synchronous bed-parallel slip. Findings provide insights into fault rock generation, displacement partitioning, and blind fault growth history analysis.
