Pavlos Efraimidis is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, leading the Algorithms and Privacy Research Team within the Programming and Information Processing Laboratory. His academic journey includes a PhD in Informatics (2000) and diploma in Computer Engineering (1995) from the University of Patras. He was elected Associate Professor in 2014 and promoted to Professor in 2023.
His research focuses on algorithms with emphasis on algorithmic game theory and privacy aspects. Key areas include social network influence dynamics, blockchain applications, and data protection. His work has been funded through projects like ATLAS, SPHINX, and HellasHPC.
