Eeshan Bhaduri serves as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), a department within the Faculty of Environment at the University of Leeds, where he investigates vehicle automation's impact on UK decarbonization goals under Dr. Zia Wadud and Professor Jillian Anable.
His academic credentials include:
- PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, advised by Dr. Arkopal Kishore Goswami, developing frameworks for ride-hailing service impacts on travel behavior and decarbonization.
- Master of Technology in Infrastructure Design & Management from IIT Kharagpur (2018), featuring exchange research at Technical University of Munich under Prof. Rolf Moeckel.
- Bachelor of Architecture from Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology Shibpur (2016).
His research integrates econometric and machine learning methodologies to analyze travel behavior, with specialized focus on autonomous vehicles, ride-sourcing services, energy-environmental interactions, and sustainable mobility policy—particularly in developing economies. He leverages big data mining to address transportation decarbonization challenges through projects like SPARC (collaborating with University of Leeds).
Professional engagements include World Conference on Transport Research Society, Transportation Research Board Committees AEP30 and AEP35, and American Society of Civil Engineers. Currently contributing to vehicle automation impact assessment without student supervision, his work advances transportation policy within ITS's research ecosystem at the University of Leeds.
