Edwin B. Fisher

Edwin B. Fisher, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at the University of North Carolina's Gillings School of Global Public Health. He also serves as Global Director of Peers for Progress, a program promoting peer support in healthcare globally. His research focuses on chronic disease management, diabetes, cancer, mental health, and global health interventions. Fisher holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from SUNY (1972) and a BA in Psychology from Amherst College (1968).
