Edward Woodfin, the George Dean Johnson, Jr. Chair of History at Converse University, specializes in Modern European History, British Empire Studies, and Latin American History. He also contributes to the Department of History & Philosophy through innovative teaching methods involving historical music and archival research.

Dr. Woodfin's research focuses on soldier experiences during World War I and the cultural intersections of history and music.
