Edward Wayne Younkins is Professor of Accountancy and Business at Wheeling University, where he also serves as Executive Director of the Institute for the Study of Capitalism and Morality. He founded the university's undergraduate major in Political and Economic Philosophy and established both the MBA and MSA programs. Dr. Younkins holds a Ph.D. in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and earned honors on both CPA and CMA examinations.
Dr. Younkins' research focuses on the philosophical foundations of capitalism, exploring the connections between Objectivism, Austrian Economics, Aristotelian ethics, and positive psychology. His work centers on developing a comprehensive paradigm of human flourishing and happiness in free societies, examining how individual liberty creates conditions for human potential to be fully realized.
