Professor Edward Scheer is a faculty member at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of New South Wales (UNSW), specializing in Performance Studies and Visual Culture. His research focuses on interdisciplinary explorations of performance art, aesthetics, and multimedia dramaturgy.
He has led two Australian Research Council (ARC) funded Discovery projects: Towards an Experimental Humanities (with Brannigan and Muecke) and New Media Dramaturgy (with Eckersall and Grehan). His scholarly work is published in journals such as TDR, PAJ, Parkett, and Performance Research, alongside catalog essays for institutions like the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Documenta (12).
