Edward Page is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick. He holds roles including Module Director of PO301: Issues in Political Theory and Co-Director of the MA in Legal and Political Theory. His academic journey includes doctoral research at Warwick University (1998) and prior roles at Southampton, Keele, Lund, and Birmingham universities. He is also a Guest Researcher at Uppsala University’s Department of Government and the Institute for Future Studies (Stockholm).
Education: BA in Politics and Philosophy at Sheffield and Essex universities, followed by a PhD in Political Theory at Warwick University. Research focuses on political theory, normative ethics, and environmental politics, with emphasis on climate change justice, intergenerational equity, and global justice frameworks. His work advocates prioritizing victims of unjust harm and addressing secondary climatic injustices.
Publications span over two decades, including peer-reviewed articles in Political Studies, Environmental Politics, and Journal of Global Ethics. Recent themes include correcting unjust enrichment in climate policy, equity in emissions trading, and distributive justice in climate adaptation. He co-edited special issues on intergenerational justice and authored Climate Change, Justice, and Future Generations.
Administrative roles include Co-ordinator of the PAIS Political Theory Cluster and membership in research ethics committees. He serves on the editorial board of Intergenerational Justice Review and evaluates grants for the ESRC, ERC, and Hong Kong Research Council. Research affiliations include the Centre for Ethics, Law and Public Affairs (CELPA) and the Climate Ethics and Future Generations group at IFFS, Stockholm.
