Edward Orozco Flores is a Professor of Sociology at the University of California Merced's School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. He holds a BA in Sociology from the University of the Pacific, an MA in Sociology from the University of Warwick, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Southern California (2010).

His research focuses on civic religion, immigration, race, gender, and community-level organizing.
