Edward N. Gamble is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Grossman School of Business, University of Vermont. He is affiliated with the Gund Institute for the Environment and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) certification. His research focuses on reducing social, environmental, and economic inequality through sustainable accounting practices, including performance measurement, tax policy, and fraud prevention.
Dr. Gamble earned a Bachelor’s from McMaster University, Master’s in Business (University College Dublin), Master’s in Taxation (Villanova University), and a Ph.D. in Accounting (Lancaster University). He has taught at Montana State University and was a research fellow at the Initiative for Regulation and Applied Economic Analysis.
His research explores themes such as social impact measurement, environmental accountability, and nonprofit transparency. Notable works include studies on Dodd-Frank’s banking impacts and B Corp certification effects. He has published in journals like Journal of Business Ethics and Academy of Management Perspectives.
