Dr. Edward Killan is an Associate Professor in Audiology at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the Specialist Science Education Department (SSED) within LICAMM. He combines clinical expertise with academic leadership, serving as Head of SSED and focusing on scholarship of teaching and learning.
- Education: PhD (Leeds), MSc in Audiology (Southampton), BA (Hons) in Human Communication and Communication Disorders.
His research spans cochlear implant outcomes, hearing loss, and hearing assessment tools, with recent work on sound localization, spatial masking, and EU-funded Comm4CHILD project for optimizing hearing-impaired children's potential. Earlier studies explored otoacoustic emission suppression mechanisms.
