Edward Jacoubs is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Curry College. He also serves on the faculty at Bridgewater State University and Stonehill College in Massachusetts.
- Education: Master’s of Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Boston College, with clinical training at McLean Hospital (Harvard Medical School affiliate) focused on addictions and adolescent behavioral health.
With 42 years of experience in juvenile justice and forensic mental health, Jacoubs specializes in trauma in children, opioid epidemic impacts, and community education strategies. His career includes national presentations on crimes against children, drug endangered children, and adverse childhood experiences.
Professional Experience: Since 1998, he has worked as Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects at the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, administering over $14 million in grants. Prior roles include Probation Officer at Brockton District Court and Director of a Department of Youth Services (DYS) detention center.
