Edward Lopez serves as Professor of Economics and BB&T Distinguished Professor of Capitalism within the School of Economics, Management, and Project Management at Western Carolina University's College of Business. He concurrently holds leadership roles as Executive Director and Past President of the Public Choice Society and previously founded and directed WCU's Center for the Study of Free Enterprise from 2015 to 2022.
