Edward J. Fox is a Professor of Marketing and the Dean’s Distinguished Research Professor at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. He serves as the W.R. & Judy Howell Director of the JCPenney Center for Retail Excellence, focusing on retail management and shopping behavior. Dr. Fox holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, an MBA and MS from Northwestern University, and a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

At SMU, Dr. Fox teaches courses in data analytics, advanced pricing management, and retailing analytics, integrating secondary data, surveys, and experiments into managerial decision-making. His prior roles at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management included research director of the Center for Retail Management and adjunct assistant professor.
