Edward Dunsworth is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at McGill University, specializing in labour, migration, and Canadian global history. His research focuses on migrant farm labour, temporary foreign workers programs, and the intersection of political dynamics with migration policies. He has authored or co-authored multiple award-winning books, including Harvesting Labour (2022) and Harvesting Freedom (2023), and led a digital exhibit on migrant worker safety (The Human Cost of Food, 2024). His work has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Henry A. Wallace Award and the Legislative Assembly of Ontario’s Speaker’s Book Award. Dunsworth is an active public historian, contributing to platforms like Activehistory.ca and the Toronto Workers’ History Project. His current research explores left-wing parliamentary politics and immigration policies in interwar Canada.
