معرفی
Dr. Edward Carr is an Intermediate Fellow and Honorary Consultant in Renal Medicine at University College London (UCL) and a Clinician Scientist Group Leader at The Francis Crick Institute. His research focuses on immune response heterogeneity, particularly antibody responses to vaccines and infections. He holds an MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship and his lab investigates mechanisms underlying inter-individual variation in immunity.
Education: MB/PhD from the University of Cambridge (2012), followed by postgraduate training in nephrology and clinical fellowships. His academic roles include Clinical Lecturer and Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow positions at Cambridge and Crick. Current affiliations include Royal Free Hospital as an Honorary Consultant Nephrologist.
Research interests span immunology, nephrology, and health informatics, with a focus on translational research linking immune responses to clinical outcomes. His work has contributed to understanding SARS-CoV-2 immunity, influenza vaccine efficacy, and global health disparities in vaccine responses.
Key awards include the MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship. His group collaborates extensively with institutions like the Crick and UCL, leveraging computational tools (e.g., Chronogram package) for data analysis in cohort studies.
