Edoarda Corradi Dell'Acqua

Edoarda Corradi Dell'Acqua is an Associate Teaching Professor and IPRO Director at Illinois Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Armour College of Engineering and the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship. She holds a M.S. in Architectural Engineering from IIT, a Bachelor's in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, and additional studies at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment (UK) and Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Her research focuses on the intersection of architecture and engineering, emphasizing energy conservation and sustainable design. Notable projects include leading interdisciplinary teams in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon (3rd-place finishes in 2016–2018), stormwater management in Chicago’s waterfront via the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (2016), and the Dean’s Award-winning 'Chicago & Water' initiative exploring urban flooding and wave-energy solutions.

She advises student teams in competitions like the Solar Decathlon and teaches architectural design courses. Awards include the College of Science Dean’s Award for innovative research. Edoarda also serves on the board of the Chicago Architectural Club.
