Edith Olah is a Professor of Molecular Genetics and Head of the Department of Molecular Genetics at the National Institute of Oncology in Budapest, Hungary. She holds additional roles as Invited Professor at Eötvös Lorand University and Human Geneticist (h.c.) at Haynal Imre Postgraduate Medical School, reflecting her interdisciplinary expertise in cancer genetics and molecular oncology.

She has contributed to landmark studies on BRCA1/2 mutations and Lynch syndrome, with over 4,000 citations and an H-index of 37. Her work spans genetic testing for inherited cancer risks and international collaborations like CIMBA and IBCCS.
Scientific honors include Fellow of the European Academy of Cancer Sciences (2009), AACR Plaque for International Leadership (2003), and multiple European cancer research awards. She has supervised 10 PhD theses and trained 13 visiting scientists from 6 countries.
