Edith Mirzaian

Dr. Edith Mirzaian serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Assistant Dean of Curriculum at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from USC in 2001 and completed a residency in Community-based Pharmacy Practice in 2002.

Dr. Mirzaian is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and holds the Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. She has served USC's Community-based Pharmacy Residency Programs since 2005 in various capacities including preceptor, site coordinator, and residency program director.

Her research focuses on pharmacy education innovation, medication therapy management services, international travel health, and collaborative clinical practice models. She has pioneered numerous community pharmacy and clinic-based programs including travel health, diabetes, anticoagulation, hepatitis C, and smoking cessation clinics. Her recent work emphasizes digital transformation in pharmacy education and curriculum development, particularly examining virtual learning effectiveness and professional competency frameworks.

As Assistant Dean of Curriculum, Dr. Mirzaian oversees USC's Community Pharmacy-based Patient Care Programs and coordinates multiple Pharm.D. curriculum courses. She previously established and directed the USC Medication Management Center for seven years. Dr. Mirzaian serves as a national faculty trainer for the American Pharmacists Association's Pharmacy Based Immunization Training Program, Travel Health, and Diabetes Care Program, significantly influencing pharmacy practice nationwide.
