Edgard Sankara is an Associate Professor of French at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures within the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in French/Francophone Studies from the University of Texas-Austin, along with degrees from the University of Oregon and the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). His research focuses on Francophone African and Caribbean literatures, with particular emphasis on postcolonial autobiography, cultural memory, and identity formation.
