Edgar Tumajyan is a Lecturer in the Music department at Hamilton College, appointed in 2023. He performs full-time as a member of the Syracuse Symphoria Orchestra and has served as assistant concertmaster at the Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera.

Tumajyan holds a bachelor’s degree from Yerevan State Conservatory and a Master of Music (M.M.) from Syracuse University. He has performed with numerous symphony orchestras across the U.S. and internationally, including Rochester Philharmonic and Society for New Music, while maintaining an active presence in solo and chamber music tours spanning Belgium, Greece, Russia, Bolivia, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey.
His accolades include receiving a fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival, highlighting his contributions to musical performance and education.
