Dr. Eddie W. Henderson serves as the Myrna Raffkind Professor of Global Education and Director of the Public School (EC-12) Pathway within West Texas A&M University's Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences. Previously Dean of the College of Education for 17 years (2006-2023), he maintains active roles in academic leadership and doctoral education.
His academic credentials include:
- Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, cum laude (Texas Tech University)
- J.D., cum laude (Texas Tech University School of Law)
- M.Ed. and B.A. in Psychology (Texas Tech University)
Research focuses on Education Law, Global Education, and Special Education policy, driven by his Go Global initiative facilitating international experiences across 60+ countries. His unique expertise bridges legal practice (representing school districts), K-12 teaching (special populations), and higher education leadership.
Dr. Henderson actively mentors doctoral students in educational leadership while teaching graduate law and policy courses. His community impact extends through leadership roles on 25+ nonprofit boards spanning education, arts, healthcare, and youth development organizations in the Amarillo region.
