Ece Öztürk

Dr. Ece Öztürk is a faculty member at Koç University School of Medicine. She holds a BSc in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Koç University (2009), an MSc (2011) and PhD (2017) in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich, and completed postdoctoral research at Columbia University (2017-2020).

Her research focuses on:

• Tumor bioengineering and lung cancer models
• Tumor microenvironment and metastasis mechanisms
• Functional biomaterials for tissue regeneration
• Precision medicine through patient-derived organoids
• Microphysiological systems for disease modeling

Recent publications demonstrate strong emphasis on extracellular matrix hydrogels, decellularization techniques, tumor microenvironment studies, and multi-omics approaches for precision oncology.
