Ebru Özturk is a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology Department at Mid Sweden University, affiliated with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Her research focuses on migration, asylum policies, religious conversion, gender studies, and right-wing populism in Europe. She is based in Sundsvall, Sweden.
Her work explores intersections of identity, policy, and societal dynamics. Notable projects include analyzing adolescent asylum seekers' religious conversions and the role of veiling in political discourses across nations.
