معرفی
Eben Blake Hodgin is an Assistant Professor of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University, specializing in geochronology, paleomagnetism, and tectonic evolution. His work focuses on reconstructing Earth's tectonic history through isotopic analysis and stratigraphic studies. He holds a PhD from Harvard University (2020), a BS from the University of Idaho (2009), and a BA from Seattle University (2006).
Teaching responsibilities include courses such as EEPS 0010 (Face of the Earth), EEPS 1240 (Stratigraphy and Sedimentation), and EEPS 1250 (New England Field Geology). His research emphasizes Paleozoic-Mesozoic continental dynamics, Neoproterozoic Rodinia assembly, and the interplay between magmatism and climate change. Recent work includes studies on the San Andreas Fault system and Midcontinent Rift stability.
Paleomagnetic and geochronological techniques are central to his projects, with publications analyzing glacial deposits, volcanic rocks, and sedimentary basins across North America and South America. Collaborative projects include investigations into the timing of continental rifting events and the environmental impacts of major tectonic shifts.
