Ebba Peterson is a Researcher in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. She focuses on epidemiology, diversity, and management of Phytophthora phytopathogens affecting woody plants, particularly in wildlands, nurseries, and coastal plant communities.
- Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology (2012), Oregon State University
- M.S. in Botany and Plant Pathology (2009), Oregon State University
- B.S. in Plant Biology (2004), University of California Santa Cruz
Her research addresses landscape dynamics and long-term impacts of Phytophthora ramorum (sudden oak death agent) in Southwest Oregon, soilborne pathogen distribution in nurseries, and coastal plant communities in California. She has authored publications on disease prevention strategies, including film-forming polymers and surfactants, and investigates pathogen dispersal via soils and waterways.
Recent articles highlight trends in nursery disease management, soilborne pathogen survival, and Phytophthora ramorum epidemiology. Collaborations include work with Jared LeBoldus (PI), Niklaus Grünwald, and Janice Parke.
Education: Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in plant-related disciplines. Affiliations include Oregon State University and UC Santa Cruz.
