Earl S. Ward is a Partner at Emery Celli Brinckerhoff Abady Ward & Maazel LLP, recognized as one of New York’s leading criminal defense and civil rights attorneys with over 30 years of experience. He has held adjunct roles as a guest lecturer at New York University School of Law and Cardozo Law School, focusing on trial practice. Ward is actively involved in legal advocacy, serving as Board Chair for the Bronx Defenders, Housing Works, and Esperanza. He previously served on the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) and New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NYSACDL).
Education: J.D. from New York University School of Law (1985), B.A. from Rutgers University (1982). Admitted to multiple federal courts, including the Second and Fifth Circuits. Notable achievements include securing a $6.7M settlement for wrongful incarceration and vacating a 24-year wrongful murder conviction.
