Earl Huff Jr. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin School of Information. He is affiliated with the Texas Center for Equity Promotion (TexCEP) and the Texas Center for Disability Studies, and co-directs the REALITY Lab, which focuses on social justice, information, and technology. His research centers on applying human-centered and inclusive design principles to enhance equity in information technology, particularly for marginalized groups including people with disabilities, aging adults, and underserved populations in education and transportation domains.
Education: Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University School of Computing, and B.S./M.S. in Computer Science from Rowan University. His work emphasizes participatory design methodologies to address systemic inequities in digital learning spaces and expand access to computing education for K-12 students from marginalized backgrounds.
Research interests include e-learning accessibility, interventions to increase STEM participation among underrepresented youth, and the intersection of technology with social justice. The REALITY Lab collaborates on projects aimed at narrowing learning gaps through inclusive technology design.
