EMİNE DEMİL

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Demil is an academic at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Hadith. She has held this position since 2018 and continues to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including Hadith Methodology, History of Hadith, and Contemporary Approaches to Prophet Muhammad.

Education:

• Licence in Theology (2003), Sakarya University Faculty of Theology

Research Interests: Her work focuses on Hadith studies, Prophetic biography, and the integration of Hadith into Islamic jurisprudence and social contexts. She explores historical narratives, gender roles in Hadith literature, and methodological approaches to Hadith analysis.

Conference Participation: She has presented at international events such as the Uluslararası Mahiyet ve Hakikat Bağlamında Vahiy Olgusu Sempozyumu (2022) and the Uluslararası İslâmda Sanat ve Estetik Sempozyumu (2023), covering topics like companions of the Prophet, aesthetic concepts in Hadith, and educational methodologies.

Supervision & Leadership: She supervises ongoing PhD and Master's theses, including topics on classical Hadith texts and institutional history. In 2024-2025, she serves as Director of Research and Application Center at her university.
