ELİF İŞBİLEN

ELİF İŞBİLEN is an Associate Professor at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, specializing in Medical Biochemistry. She has maintained continuous academic and clinical engagement since completing her medical education at Selçuk University and Istanbul University.

Her educational background includes a medical degree from Selçuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine (1989-1994) followed by specialization in Basic Medical Sciences/Biochemistry at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1999-2003).

Dr. İşbilen's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of reproductive disorders, particularly examining vitamin D metabolism, oxidative stress biomarkers, genetic polymorphisms, and circadian rhythm in conditions like infertility, preeclampsia, and ADHD. Her work integrates clinical biochemistry with molecular genetics to identify potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Her publication record demonstrates consistent research productivity over two decades, with recent work emphasizing vitamin D's role in cancer survival, reproductive health, and neurodevelopmental disorders. The research shows a clear trajectory from foundational work on preeclampsia and homocysteine metabolism toward contemporary investigations of circadian biology and non-coding RNA in disease pathogenesis.
