E. Shelley Reid is a Professor in the Department of English at George Mason University, where she serves as Executive Director of Engaged Teaching at the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning. She has previously taught at Oklahoma State University, Austin College, and the University of Wyoming.
- Education: BA from Grinnell College, MA and PhD from State University of New York at Buffalo.
Her research focuses on knowledge transfer in learning, institutional influences on teaching, and faculty development. She advocates for reflective pedagogy and inclusive education practices, particularly in composition and writing program administration.
