Dániel Moerman

Dániel Moerman is a Lecturer in Cultural History at the Department of History and Art History, Utrecht University. His research focuses on the history of climate and environment, particularly drought and water shortages, integrating historical climatology, environmental history, and the history of science.

His expertise spans several disciplines, including Environmental History, History of Science, Climate Adaptation, Climate Modeling, Urban History, Early Modern Cultural History, Philosophy of History, and Social History.

Moerman teaches courses such as (Un-)natural Disasters: An Environmental History, Introduction to Historical Studies, Media and Modernity, and Research Lab II.
