Dylan H. Roby

Dylan H. Roby, PhD, is a Professor and Interim Chair of the Health, Society, & Behavior department at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Program in Public Health. His career spans over 25 years, focusing on health policy research, reform, and addressing disparities in healthcare outcomes for underserved populations.

Research Interests include:

• Impact of health policy on public hospitals, community health centers, and Medi-Cal
• Insurance markets and Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation

Publication Trends highlight his work on Medicaid/Medi-Cal expansions, health disparities among Latino and immigrant populations, ACA reforms, and modeling policy impacts via the UC Berkeley/UCLA California Simulation of Insurance Markets (CalSIM).
