معرفی
Dwayne Heard is a Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, University of Leeds. His research focuses on atmospheric and astrochemical processes, including radical species measurements, reaction kinetics, and planetary chemistry.
- Education: D.Phil in Physical Chemistry and BA/MA in Chemistry from the University of Oxford
- Expertise: Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy (FAGE), chemical kinetics, heterogeneous chemistry on aerosols, and interstellar chemistry
- Tools: Leeds Highly Instrumented Reactor for Atmospheric Chemistry (HIRAC), field campaigns on ground, ship, and aircraft platforms
His work involves improving atmospheric models (e.g., Master Chemical Mechanism) to predict climate and air quality changes, while extending kinetic studies to interstellar environments. Collaborations span the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS) and international groups.
Scientific awards include the Royal Society of Chemistry Environment Prize in 2017. He teaches Physical Chemistry at undergraduate levels and welcomes global PhD/postdoctoral applicants.
